What kind of qualifications are needed to do them?
Qualifications are not essential for entry roles in the hotel. Accor offers a number of New Zealand qualifications, that can be achieved while working on the job - earning while you learn!
What can school students do to prepare for a career in your firm aside from further education?
e.g. volunteering, community work?
By involving yourself in part time work during the weekend or holidays. Our hotels are a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week business and there are many varying types of hours available. These hours are often very suitable for students. By taking up part time work, this enables the abilty to gain a basic understanding of the industry, and obtain the opportunity to "get the foot in the door" for future roles.
